Located on the opposite side of La Morenita, the Pink Hot Cactus Neon Wall transforms the building into a vibrant photo destination along Edmonton’s Alberta Avenue.

The mural features hand-painted cacti alongside a glowing neon-style centerpiece, created entirely with paint through layered colour, highlights, and shadow. The technique creates the illusion of illuminated neon without using an actual neon sign.

Bold, playful and highly visible from across the street, the wall was designed to attract attention, encourage photos, and further establish La Morenita as a recognizable cultural destination within the neighbourhood.

Together with JD Art’s murals on the other side of the building, the project demonstrates how public art can give a local business greater visibility while creating something the community can interact with and remember.
