La Morenita – Phase II

The Story Continues

Currently in progress, La Morenita Phase II expands JD Art’s ongoing transformation of the Alberta Avenue property into a larger celebration of Mexican culture, identity and community.

Building from the original mural, the new composition introduces a Día de los Muertos-inspired portrait, monumental Aztec calendar, Mexican landscapes, pyramids, cacti, flowers, monarch butterflies and an eagle carrying a rattlesnake.

The mural is being designed to connect naturally with the existing artwork while creating an entirely new experience across the building. Together with the original La Morenita mural and Pink Hot Cactus Neon Wall, the project continues to develop the property into a recognizable public-art and cultural destination.
