This immersive 1,855 SQFT mural was commissioned by the City of Edmonton and Empire Building Company for the Central LRT Station at Jasper Ave & 101st Street. Covering the tunnel’s walls, ceiling, and entrance, the piece transforms a once-overlooked space into an engaging public art experience. Through the use of visual illusion, JD Art expanded the perceived size of the tunnel, creating the feeling of a longer, more open corridor. This project reflects the power of public art to shift perception, energize daily commuters, and reimagine urban infrastructure.
